One year on the road

Today it is exactly one year ago that I walked out off my hometown and set out for unknown roads to Santiago de Compostela, Rome and Jerusalem. Santiago de Compostela is behind me and I am on my way to Rome. But as you will know I added Cairo to my list of destinations. I am proud and excited to be twalking for MasterPeace, creating peace, together. It is still a long way to go, but I am confident that I can make it, with your help. I cannot thank enough the people that have supported me and the ones that continue to do so. The people that have invited me into their homes, the people that support me financially, my friends and of course my family. It is impossible to describe how many persons one man can miss. In the past year I've said goodbye to more people than I would have liked to, but luckily, some of them have crossed my path more than once. You are always welcome to join me anywhere on my journey.Happy birthday to Twalk With Me, I drink to that!

Inderdaad een memorabel moment. Wij denken er ook aan en wensen je veel succes met de tweede fase van je reis. Dat je maar veel fijne en interessante mensen mag tegenkomen en dat je de supporters van de afgelopen 12 maanden kunt blijven enthousiasmeren over je tocht en doel met Masterpeace. xx

You can't imagine how much I admire you and how much you inspire me. I came across your website after seeing your message on http://globetrooper.com. I read your stories and a mix of emotions come to my body. Admiration, inspiration... frustration, envy... lol. I keep saying I widh I could do it, I wish I had money to do it, I wish my body could do it... What made you take that leap into doing it? I'm 38 and so fed up with my boring life, in this boring and frustrating city of Buenos Aires. It's not that I hate my life you know... I have a great job which I am passionate about, I have the best parents and sister, my little baby niece, my own apartment, my boyfriend, my puppy... Everybody tells me why I bitch about my life so much if I have everything? Life is so short to spend it working and earning little money to spend some weeks of vacation a year... I wish someday I will be there walking with you... Kisses.

Oh, as pesimistic as my previous message sounded, I bought a ticket to Amsterdam for April... so that's a start at least... Hope not to return soon to Argentina... :)
